EDUMATIC

Edumatic is an e-learning platform that integrates the functions of systems such as LMS (Learning Management System) and LCMS (Learning Content Management System). This platform proves to be a highly integrated information system, used to conduct online e-learning courses. In enables organizing and conducting Internet courses in a flexible and comfortable manner.

The most important functions of this e-learning platform are:

• Collecting, processing and publishing educational materials in the form of e-learning courses saved in the SCROM standard form.
• Managing educational materials in their electronic form.
• Support in the process of verifying the knowledge of a specific group of people by using the inbuilt mechanisms of the system, as well as advanced testing applications saved in the SCROM standard form.
• Managing the process of creating learning groups, the registration of users, automating the processes of creating and operating learning groups (e.g. enabling and disabling access to certain applications for a specified period of time).
• Providing course users with access to teaching materials and tools used in the e-learning project:
  - E-learning courses and other materials presented in electronic form.
  - Communication tools such as forums, chat rooms, blogs etc.
• Support for the teachers/trainers in the process of conducting online courses. This includes controlling the progress of the course (by providing rapports) and verifying the level of knowledge acquired by the learners (tests, homework assignments etc.).

Edumatic aims to aid the management of online teaching processes, particularly in projects, which depend on the support of teachers and on the use self-taught models of education. This has been achieved thanks to advanced mechanisms of gathering, processing and publishing materials saved as e-learning courses in the SCORM standard. Edumatic is one of the only systems in Poland, which offers not only the SCROM standard, but also its’ new version – SCROM 2004. This enables many innovative possibilities, such as individualizing the teaching process - that is adapting it to the personal progress level of each learner. The functions of the LCMS system allow Edumatic to be a system, which can enhance the management of e-learning courses and learning objects.
